Scale
- 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes (adjust to taste)
- 1 teaspoon lemon zest
- 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
- 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 cup breadcrumbs (preferably panko)
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the melted butter, minced garlic, red pepper flakes, lemon zest, lemon juice, parsley, salt, and black pepper. Stir well to combine.
- Add the shrimp to the bowl and toss until they are evenly coated in the garlic butter mixture.
- Transfer the shrimp mixture to a baking dish, spreading it out in an even layer.
- In a separate bowl, mix the breadcrumbs and Parmesan cheese together. Sprinkle the breadcrumb mixture evenly over the shrimp.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the shrimp are pink and opaque, and the breadcrumbs are golden brown.
- For an extra crispy topping, broil for an additional 1-2 minutes, keeping a close eye to prevent burning.
- Remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before serving. Garnish with additional parsley and lemon wedges if desired.
Notes
- For a low-carb version, substitute breadcrumbs with crushed pork rinds or almond flour.
- Add sliced cherry tomatoes or asparagus to the baking dish for extra flavor and nutrition.
