A delicious and savory meatloaf glazed with a sweet balsamic sauce, perfect for family dinners.

- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 pound ground pork
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 cup chopped onion
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 large eggs
- 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1/2 cup balsamic vinegar
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F.
- In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, ground pork, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, chopped onion, minced garlic, eggs, parsley, salt, pepper, oregano, and thyme. Mix until well combined.
- Transfer the meat mixture to a loaf pan and shape it into a loaf.
- In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine the balsamic vinegar, brown sugar, and Worcestershire sauce. Bring to a simmer and cook for about 5 minutes until slightly thickened.
- Pour half of the balsamic glaze over the meatloaf.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 1 hour. After 30 minutes, brush the remaining glaze over the top of the meatloaf.
- Once cooked, let the meatloaf rest for 10 minutes before slicing. Serve warm.
Notes
- For a healthier twist, substitute ground turkey for the beef and pork.
- You can also add chopped bell peppers or carrots to the meat mixture for extra flavor and nutrition.
- If you prefer a spicier kick, mix in some crushed red pepper flakes or a dash of hot sauce into the meat mixture.
