Description
A quick and delicious one-pan meal featuring ground beef, broccoli, and melted cheddar cheese.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound ground beef
- 2 cups broccoli florets (fresh or frozen)
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 medium onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1/2 cup beef broth
- 1 cup cooked rice (optional)
Instructions
- In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the diced onion and sauté for about 3-4 minutes until translucent.
- Add the minced garlic and ground beef to the skillet. Cook until the beef is browned, breaking it apart with a spatula, about 5-7 minutes. Drain any excess fat if necessary.
- Stir in the salt, black pepper, and paprika. Mix well to combine.
- Add the broccoli florets and beef broth to the skillet. Cover and cook for about 5-7 minutes, or until the broccoli is tender.
- If using, stir in the cooked rice until well combined.
- Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese over the top, cover, and let it cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until the cheese is melted.
- Serve warm and enjoy!
Notes
- For a healthier version, substitute ground turkey or chicken for the beef.
- Add other vegetables like bell peppers or carrots for extra color and nutrition.
