Description
Crispy Air Fryer Sweet Potato Fries are a delicious and healthier alternative to traditional fries, made with simple ingredients and cooked to perfection in an air fryer.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 large sweet potatoes (about 1.5 pounds)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional for heat)
Instructions
- Preheat the air fryer to 400°F.
- Peel the sweet potatoes and cut them into thin fries, about 1/4 inch thick.
- In a large bowl, toss the sweet potato fries with olive oil, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper until evenly coated.
- Place the fries in a single layer in the air fryer basket, working in batches if necessary.
- Cook for 15-20 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through to ensure even cooking.
- Check for desired crispiness; if needed, cook for an additional 2-3 minutes.
- Once done, remove from the air fryer and let cool slightly before serving.
Notes
- For extra crispiness, soak the cut sweet potatoes in cold water for 30 minutes before drying and seasoning.
- You can also try adding different spices like cumin or chili powder for a unique flavor twist.
