Description

Crispy Bang Bang Salmon Bites are a must-try recipe that combines tender salmon with a crunchy panko coating and a spicy bang bang sauce.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound salmon fillet, skin removed and cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons sweet chili sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sriracha (adjust to taste)
  • 2 tablespoons green onions, chopped (for garnish)
  • Lemon wedges (for serving)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 425°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a shallow bowl, combine flour, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper.
  3. In another bowl, beat the eggs.
  4. In a third bowl, place the panko breadcrumbs.
  5. Coat each piece of salmon in the flour mixture, then dip it into the beaten eggs, and finally coat it with panko breadcrumbs.
  6. Place the coated salmon bites on the prepared baking sheet.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through and the panko is golden brown and crispy.
  8. While the salmon is baking, prepare the bang bang sauce by mixing mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, and sriracha in a small bowl. Adjust the sriracha to your preferred spice level.
  9. Once the salmon bites are done, remove them from the oven and drizzle with the bang bang sauce.
  10. Garnish with chopped green onions and serve with lemon wedges on the side.

Notes

  • For extra crunch, consider frying the salmon bites in a skillet with oil instead of baking.
  • You can also substitute the salmon with chicken or tofu for a different protein option.
