Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground chicken
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup feta cheese, crumbled
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil (for cooking)

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine the ground chicken, breadcrumbs, feta cheese, parsley, garlic, oregano, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes. Mix until well combined.
  2. Add the egg to the mixture and mix until everything is evenly incorporated.
  3. Form the mixture into patties, about 2-3 inches in diameter. You should get around 8 patties.
  4. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  5. Cook the patties for about 5-6 minutes on each side, or until they are golden brown and cooked through.
  6. Remove the patties from the skillet and let them rest on a paper towel to absorb excess oil.

Notes

  • For added flavor, try mixing in some chopped sun-dried tomatoes or olives into the patty mixture.
  • Serve the patties with a side of tzatziki sauce or a fresh salad for a complete meal.
