Description
Mongolian Ground Beef Noodles is a flavorful dish featuring tender ground beef, egg noodles, and a savory sauce, perfect for a quick weeknight dinner.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound ground beef
- 8 ounces egg noodles
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, minced
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
- 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- 1 cup green onions, chopped
- 1 cup bell peppers, sliced
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Cook the egg noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, heat the vegetable oil over medium heat. Add the ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spatula, about 5-7 minutes. Drain excess fat if necessary.
- Add the minced garlic and ginger to the skillet, cooking for an additional 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
- Stir in the soy sauce, brown sugar, rice vinegar, and red pepper flakes (if using). Mix well and let simmer for about 3-5 minutes.
- Add the cooked egg noodles, green onions, and bell peppers to the skillet. Toss everything together until well combined and heated through, about 2-3 minutes. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Serve hot, garnished with additional green onions if desired.
Notes
- For a spicier kick, add sriracha or chili paste to the sauce.
- You can substitute ground turkey or chicken for a leaner option.
- For a vegetarian version, use tofu or tempeh instead of ground beef.
