- 1 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the peanut butter and brown sugar, mixing until smooth.
- Add the egg and vanilla extract, and mix until fully incorporated.
- Stir in the baking soda and salt until combined.
- Gently fold in the chocolate chips.
- Using a tablespoon, scoop out dough and roll it into balls.
- Place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
- Flatten each ball slightly with the back of a fork.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown.
- Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
- For a chewier cookie, chill the dough for 30 minutes before baking.
- You can substitute half of the chocolate chips with chopped nuts for added texture.
- For a fun twist, try adding a pinch of cinnamon or a tablespoon of cocoa powder to the dough for a chocolatey flavor.
