Description
Delicious and easy-to-make salmon patties that are perfect for a quick meal.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 (14.75-ounce) can of pink salmon, drained and flaked
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
- 1/4 cup finely chopped bell pepper
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 tablespoons olive oil (for frying)
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the flaked salmon, breadcrumbs, chopped onion, chopped bell pepper, mayonnaise, egg, Dijon mustard, lemon juice, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.
- Shape the mixture into patties, about 2-3 inches in diameter. You should have approximately 8 patties.
- Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Once hot, add the salmon patties to the skillet in batches, being careful not to overcrowd the pan.
- Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and crispy. Remove from the skillet and place on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.
- Serve warm with your favorite dipping sauce or on a bun as a salmon burger.
Notes
- For added flavor, mix in some fresh herbs like dill or parsley into the salmon mixture.
- Substitute the breadcrumbs with crushed crackers or panko for a different texture.
