Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
In a large mixing bowl, combine the shredded chicken, cream of chicken soup, sour cream, half of the cheddar cheese, crumbled bacon, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
Spread the chicken mixture evenly in a greased 9x13 inch baking dish.
Layer the frozen tater tots on top of the chicken mixture in a single layer.
Sprinkle the remaining cheddar cheese over the tater tots.
Bake in the preheated oven for 35-40 minutes, or until the tater tots are golden brown and crispy.
Remove from the oven and let it cool for about 5 minutes. Garnish with chopped green onions before serving.
