Method
 

Cooking Steps
  1. Wash 1-2 cups of red new potatoes under cold water, scrub to remove dirt, and cut into one-inch pieces.
  2. In a small bowl, combine 3 tablespoons of soy sauce, 1 tablespoon of sugar, 1 teaspoon of sesame oil, and 3-4 tablespoons of water, whisk until sugar is dissolved.
  3. Heat 2 tablespoons of neutral oil in a medium non-stick pan over medium heat. Add potato pieces in a single layer and cook for 5-6 minutes until lightly golden.
  4. Pour the prepared sauce over the potatoes and cover with a lid. Simmer for 5-7 minutes until potatoes are tender.
  5. Remove the lid and let the sauce bubble for a few minutes, gently toss the potatoes to coat in the glaze.
  6. Transfer the glazed potatoes to a serving dish and sprinkle with toasted sesame seeds before serving.
