Preparation Steps

  3. Sear the cod fillets for 4-5 minutes on one side until golden brown; flip and cook 4-5 minutes on the other side.
  4. Sauté minced garlic in the same skillet for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  5. Pour in chicken or vegetable broth, deglazing the skillet and bringing to a gentle simmer for 2-3 minutes.
  6. Reduce heat and stir in heavy cream; allow sauce to simmer for 5 minutes until thickened.
  7. Return seared cod fillets to the skillet and spoon sauce over them; heat for an additional 2 minutes.
  8. Remove from heat, garnish with chopped parsley and serve with lemon wedges.
