Ingredients
  

For the Pasta
  • 12 oz Rotini Pasta Feel free to swap for penne or bowtie pasta.
For the Sausage
  • 1 lb Sausage Choose between Andouille, spicy Italian, kielbasa, or chicken sausage.
For the Sauce
  • 2 Tbsp Olive Oil Essential for sautéing.
  • 3 cloves Garlic Minced.
  • 1 cup BBQ Sauce Opt for sweet or spicy based on preference.
  • 2 Tbsp Honey Balances savory notes.
  • 1 tsp Paprika Adjust according to desired spice level.
  • 1 tsp Chili Powder Adjust according to desired spice level.
  • 1 tsp Salt Necessary seasoning.
  • 1 tsp Black Pepper Necessary seasoning.
For Garnish
  • 1/4 cup Fresh Parsley Chopped.

Method
 

Cooking Instructions
  1. Cook the pasta in a large pot of salted boiling water according to package instructions until al dente, about 8–10 minutes. Drain and set aside, reserving some pasta water.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add sliced sausage and cook for about 5–7 minutes until browned and caramelized. Remove the sausage and set aside, keeping the drippings in the pan.
  3. In the same skillet, add more olive oil if needed and lower heat to medium. Add minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant and golden.
  4. Pour in BBQ sauce and honey, stirring to combine with garlic. Add paprika, chili powder, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 2–3 minutes until sauce thickens slightly.
  5. Return sausage and cooked pasta to the skillet and toss everything together until coated with the sauce. Heat through for 1–2 minutes.
  6. Serve immediately, garnished with fresh parsley.
