Ingredients

  • 2 6-ounce salmon fillets
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley for garnish, optional

Method

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it with cooking spray.
  2. In a small bowl, mix together the brown sugar, honey, soy sauce, Dijon mustard, garlic powder, and black pepper until well combined.
  3. Place the salmon fillets skin-side down on the prepared baking sheet. Brush the brown sugar mixture generously over the top of each fillet.
  4. Drizzle the olive oil around the salmon on the baking sheet to help keep it moist while cooking.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the salmon flakes easily with a fork and is cooked through.
  6. Remove from the oven and let it rest for a couple of minutes. If desired, garnish with chopped fresh parsley before serving.
