- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a medium-sized bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
- In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add the egg and vanilla extract, mixing until well combined.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing at low speed until just combined.
- Fold in the chocolate chips and mini marshmallows. If using marshmallow fluff, add it now.
- Drop rounded balls of dough onto the prepared baking sheets, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
- Bake for 8-10 minutes until the edges are set and the centers remain soft.
- Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheet for about 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
