- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan.
- Combine ¼ cup softened unsalted butter, ¼ cup oil, and 1 cup sugar in a mixing bowl and beat until smooth.
- Add 2 large eggs and 1 tsp vanilla extract to the mixture, then mix until smooth.
- In another bowl, whisk together 1½ cups flour, 1 tsp baking powder, ½ tsp salt, and ½ tsp cinnamon. Gradually add to the wet ingredients alternating with ½ cup buttermilk.
- In a small bowl, mix a portion of the batter with ½ tsp molasses and a pinch of cinnamon.
- Layer half of the plain batter in the loaf pan, add the molasses mixture, then cover with the remaining plain batter.
