  • 1 pound Lump Crab Meat Use fresh or canned
  • 1 pound Shrimp (peeled and deveined) Pre-cooked for time-saving
  • 2 cups Cooked Rice Any type works
  • 2 cups Shredded Cheddar Cheese Monterey Jack can substitute
  • 1/2 cup Mayonnaise Full-fat for richness
  • 1/2 cup Sour Cream Keeps the casserole moist
  • 1 small Onion (finely chopped) Use fresh for best flavor
  • 2 cloves Garlic (minced) Fresh is best
  • 1 cup Green Bell Pepper (finely chopped)
  • 1 cup Red Bell Pepper (finely chopped)
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire Sauce
  • 2 tablespoons Lemon Juice
  • 1 tablespoon Old Bay Seasoning Enhances seafood flavor
  • to taste Salt
  • to taste Pepper
For the Topping
  • 1 cup Breadcrumbs
  • 4 tablespoons Butter (melted) Use unsalted
  • 1/4 cup Fresh Parsley (chopped) For garnish

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the lump crab meat and shrimp. Fold in rice and cheddar cheese.
  3. Add mayonnaise, sour cream, onion, garlic, both bell peppers, Worcestershire sauce, lemon juice, Old Bay seasoning, salt, and pepper. Mix gently.
  4. Transfer the mixture into the greased baking dish, spreading it evenly.
  5. Mix breadcrumbs with melted butter and sprinkle over the seafood mixture.
  6. Bake for 25–30 minutes until golden brown and bubbly.
  7. Remove from the oven, let rest briefly, and sprinkle with parsley before serving.
