- In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, light brown sugar, granulated sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
- In a larger bowl, combine cranberry sauce, milk, vegetable oil, orange juice and zest, egg, and vanilla extract. Mix until creamy.
- Fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined; lumps are okay.
- Distribute the batter among the muffin liners, filling each about two-thirds full.
- Bake for 24-26 minutes, adding turbinado sugar on top around 18 minutes into baking.
- Let cool in the pan for about 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
