Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Heat a splash of olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add sliced chicken sausage, cooking until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes on each side.
  2. Remove the sausages from the pan, leaving the oil. Sauté garlic in the same skillet for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  3. Add chopped broccoli, kosher salt, and black pepper. Sauté for about 5 minutes until the broccoli is bright green and tender.
  4. Pour in the chicken bone broth and bring to a gentle boil. Add the orzo pasta, stir well, and cover. Simmer for about 10-15 minutes until the orzo is soft.
  5. Stir in the shredded parmesan cheese until melted. Adjust consistency with more broth if needed.
  6. Serve immediately, topped with additional parmesan and cracked black pepper.
