Ingredients

For the Pasta
  • 1 pound Rigatoni Pasta Feel free to swap with penne or ziti if needed.
For the Sauce
  • 8 ounces Boursin Cheese Can be replaced with a mix of cream cheese, garlic, and herbs.
  • 1 cup Marinara Sauce Store-bought variety saves time.
  • 1 pound Ground Meat (Beef/Sausage) For a lighter option, substitute with plant-based protein.
  • 1 small Onion Chopped.
  • 3 cloves Garlic Minced.
  • 1 teaspoon Italian Seasoning Can make your own using oregano, basil, and thyme.
Optional Add-ins
  • Vegetables (Spinach, Mushrooms, Bell Peppers) Optional for added nutrition and flavor.

Equipment

  • Large pot

Method

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Begin by bringing a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the rigatoni and cook according to package instructions until al dente, about 10-12 minutes. Drain the pasta and set aside.
  2. In the same pot, heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic, sauté for 3-4 minutes until translucent and fragrant.
  3. Next, add 1 pound of ground meat to the pot, breaking it apart. Cook for 5-7 minutes until browned and fully cooked.
  4. Reduce heat to low and stir in 1 cup of marinara sauce and Boursin cheese. Mix well until cheese melts completely, about 2-3 minutes.
  5. Gently fold in the cooked rigatoni. Toss for about 2 minutes until coated with the creamy sauce.
  6. Remove from heat and garnish with chopped herbs or additional cheese if desired. Serve warm.
