Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground turkey
  • 1 cup fresh spinach chopped
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes optional
  • Fresh parsley chopped (for garnish)

Method

  1. In a large bowl, combine the ground turkey, chopped spinach, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, milk, egg, minced garlic, onion powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
  2. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  3. Form the turkey mixture into meatballs, about 1.5 inches in diameter, and place them on the prepared baking sheet.
  4. Bake the meatballs in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until cooked through and golden brown.
  5. While the meatballs are baking, heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the heavy cream and chicken broth, stirring to combine.
  6. Once the meatballs are done, carefully transfer them to the skillet with the cream sauce. Simmer for an additional 5-7 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld.
  7. If desired, add red pepper flakes for a bit of heat. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
