Method

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Prepare the Coating Station: Set up three shallow bowls for your coating process. In the first bowl, mix all-purpose flour with a pinch of salt and pepper. In the second, beat the eggs until well-blended, adding a splash of milk for creaminess if desired. Finally, combine the panko breadcrumbs with garlic powder, onion powder, and smoked paprika in the third bowl.
  2. Unwrap and Dry the Cheese: Unwrap the Babybel cheese rounds and gently pat them dry with a paper towel.
  3. Coat the Cheese Rounds: Dip each Babybel round into the seasoned flour, then into the egg wash, and roll it in the seasoned panko breadcrumbs.
  4. Chill the Coated Cheese: Arrange the coated Babybel rounds on a parchment-lined tray and place in the freezer for 10-15 minutes.
  5. Preheat the Air Fryer: Preheat your air fryer to 380°F (193°C) and lightly grease the basket with olive oil spray.
  6. Air Fry the Cheese Bites: Place the chilled, coated cheese rounds in a single layer in the air fryer basket and cook for 5-7 minutes.
  7. Cool and Serve: Remove the cheese bites from the air fryer and let them cool for 1-2 minutes. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve.
