Step-by-Step Instructions for Cucumber Caprese Salad
  1. Begin by washing the English cucumber and cherry tomatoes under cool water. Slice the cucumber thinly, about 1/4 inch thick, and halve the cherry tomatoes.
  2. Slice the medium red onion thinly. If desired, soak the onion slices in cold water for about 5 minutes. Combine the onion slices with the cucumber and tomatoes in a bowl.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, gently combine the sliced cucumber, halved cherry tomatoes, and red onion. Add the mozzarella pearls and fresh basil leaves.
  4. Drizzle the olive oil over the salad mixture, followed by balsamic glaze. Add salt, black pepper, and crushed red pepper flakes to taste.
