Ingredients
  

For the Filling
  • 2 cups Cooked and Shredded Chicken Rotisserie chicken works well.
  • 8 oz Cream Cheese At room temperature.
  • 1 tsp Garlic Powder
  • 1 tsp Onion Powder
  • 1 tbsp Dried Parsley Fresh can be used as well.
  • 1 tsp Salt Adjust to taste.
  • 1 tsp Black Pepper Freshly ground preferred.
  • 2 tbsp Melted Butter
  • 1 tube Crescent Roll Dough Keep chilled until ready to use.
For the Creamy Parmesan Sauce
  • 4 tbsp Butter
  • 1/4 cup All-Purpose Flour
  • 1 cup Whole Milk
  • 1/2 cup Heavy Cream
  • 1 cup Grated Parmesan Cheese Authentic recommended.
For Optional Topping
  • 1/2 cup Panko Breadcrumbs
  • 1 whole Egg (beaten) For brushing.

Method
 

Preparation Steps
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and prepare a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine cooked chicken, cream cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, parsley, salt, black pepper, and melted butter. Mix until smooth.
  3. Unroll crescent roll dough on a floured surface, separate the triangles, and flatten them.
  4. Spoon filling into the center of each dough triangle and fold the edges to seal.
  5. Brush a beaten egg over the tops of each pillow and sprinkle with panko breadcrumbs if desired.
  6. Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden and puffed.
  7. For the sauce, melt butter in a saucepan, whisk in flour, then gradually add milk and cream until thickened. Stir in Parmesan.
  8. Serve the Chicken Pillows drizzled with the creamy Parmesan sauce.

Notes
