Step-by-Step Instructions for Easy Walking Taco Casserole
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and coat a 13x9-inch baking dish with nonstick spray.
  2. In a large skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat for 5-7 minutes, breaking it up as it cooks.
  3. Add the chopped onion and cook for another 3-4 minutes until soft and translucent.
  4. Sprinkle the taco seasoning and water over the mixture, stir, and let it simmer for about 2 minutes.
  5. Stir in the black beans, diced tomatoes, and sour cream, cooking for another 3-4 minutes until heated through.
  6. Layer Fritos in the baking dish, add one cup of shredded cheese, then the beef mixture, and top with remaining cheese.
  7. Cover with foil and bake for 15 minutes. Remove foil and bake for another 5 minutes to melt and bubble the cheese.
  8. Let cool for a couple of minutes, garnish with extra Fritos and toppings, then serve.
