Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Prepare Bain-Marie by filling a small pot with ½ cup of water and placing a large heatproof bowl over it.
  2. Add 4 tablespoons of unsalted butter and 16 ounces of marshmallows to the bowl, whisking for 2-4 minutes until smooth.
  3. Remove from heat, add ½ teaspoon of salt and a few drops of red food coloring, stirring well.
  4. In a large bowl, measure 6 cups of Rice Bubbles and pour the melted marshmallow mixture over them, folding gently.
  5. Lightly oil your hands and shape the mixture into oval shapes resembling brains.
  6. Dip a toothpick into red food coloring to draw vein-like designs on the surface of each brain.
  7. Let treats cool for 10-15 minutes before storing them in an airtight container.
