Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13-inch baking dish with butter.
  2. Dump the undrained crushed pineapple into the greased baking dish, spreading it evenly across the bottom.
  3. Pour the cherry pie filling over the pineapple layer and distribute the cherries evenly.
  4. Sprinkle the yellow cake mix evenly over the fruit layers in the baking dish.
  5. Dot with sliced salted butter evenly over the top of the cake mix layer.
  6. Sprinkle chopped pecans over the buttery layer, covering the surface adequately.
  7. Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and let it bake for 48-53 minutes.
