Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13-inch baking dish with melted butter or cooking spray.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine cream of chicken soup, sour cream, and melted butter. Stir in the shredded cheddar cheese, finely chopped onion, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper until smooth.
  3. Gently fold in the thawed frozen shredded hash browns with a spatula until coated.
  4. Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish and spread evenly. Smooth the top.
