Step-by-Step Instructions for Mexican Ground Beef Skillet
  1. Heat the olive oil in a large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat. Add the minced garlic and onion, sauté for 2-3 minutes until fragrant.
  2. Add the diced bell peppers to the skillet. Stir and sauté for an additional 3-5 minutes until tender.
  3. Push vegetables to the side and add the ground beef. Break it up as it cooks for 7-9 minutes until fully browned.
  4. Mix the ground beef with the veggies and stir in taco seasoning, tomato sauce, green chiles, and black beans. Cook until heated through.
  5. Pour in the rice and broth. Stir gently to combine, bringing it to a boil.
