Step-by-Step Instructions for Buckeye Brownies
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line an 8x8-inch baking pan with parchment paper. Prepare the brownie batter as directed on the package and pour into the pan. Bake for 25-30 minutes until a toothpick comes out with moist crumbs. Let cool completely on a wire rack.
  2. In a bowl, combine ½ cup of creamy peanut butter and 4 tablespoons of unsalted butter. Beat until smooth, about 2-3 minutes. Gradually add 1 cup of powdered sugar, a pinch of salt, and 1 teaspoon of vanilla, mixing until fully incorporated. Spread the peanut butter layer evenly over the cooled brownies.
  3. In a microwave-safe bowl, combine 1 ½ cups of semisweet chocolate chips and 3 tablespoons of heavy cream. Microwave in 30-second increments, stirring until melted and smooth. Pour ganache over the peanut butter layer, spreading to cover completely.
  4. Chill the brownies in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour to set the ganache. Lift out using parchment paper, slice into squares, and serve.
