  • 1 cup Flour Gluten-free flour blend works
  • 1/2 cup Brown Sugar Can use light brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup Granulated Sugar Reduce for less sweetness if desired
  • 1 cup Chocolate Chips Add chopped nuts if desired
Optional Add-Ins
  • 1/2 cup Optional Nuts Walnuts or pecans; omit for nut-free

Method
 

Preheat the Oven
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13-inch baking pan or line with parchment paper.
Prepare the Brownie Batter

Spread the Brownie Layer
  1. Pour and spread the brownie batter evenly in the prepared baking pan.
Make the Cookie Dough
  1. Cream together softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until fluffy. Add eggs and mix smooth, then incorporate flour and chocolate chips.
Layer the Cookie Dough
  1. Spoon cookie dough dollops over the brownie layer, spreading it gently to create an even topping.
Bake the Brownies
  1. Bake for 25-30 minutes, checking doneness with a toothpick; it should have a few moist crumbs.
Cool and Cut
