Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- On a lightly floured surface, unfold and roll out the thawed puff pastry into a tart pan.
- In a mixing bowl, combine fresh figs, honey, lemon juice, vanilla extract, and cinnamon. Toss to coat.
- Evenly pour the fig mixture into the puff pastry shell.
- Refrigerate the tart for about 10 minutes.
- Beat an egg to create an egg wash and brush the edges of the pastry.
- Bake the tart for 30-35 minutes until golden brown.
- Let the tart cool for 15-20 minutes in the pan before transferring to a wire rack.
- Serve warm or at room temperature, optionally dusting with powdered sugar.
