Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine warm milk, water, and white granulated sugar. Sprinkle yeast on top and let sit until foamy.
  2. In another bowl, mix all-purpose flour, salt, butter, and egg. Combine to form a sticky dough.
  3. Transfer the dough onto a floured surface and knead for 6-8 minutes until smooth and elastic. Shape into a ball and let it rise in a greased bowl.
  4. While the dough rises, process freeze-dried strawberries in a food processor until finely powdered. Mix with sugar, vanilla extract, lemon zest, and flour.
  5. Roll the dough out to a rectangular shape, spread softened butter, and sprinkle with the filling. Roll tightly and cut into 12 pieces.
  6. Arrange rolls in a greased baking pan, cover, let rise for an hour.
  7. Preheat oven to 350°F. Bake rolls for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
  8. Make frosting by beating cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  9. Allow rolls to cool slightly, then frost generously over warm rolls.
