Ingredients
  

For the Sweet Potatoes
  • 4 medium Sweet Potatoes Peeled and sliced into thin medallions
  • 1/2 cup Unsalted Butter Can substitute with salted butter
  • 3/4 cup Brown Sugar Light or dark as desired
  • 1/4 cup Water
For the Spice Blend
  • 1/2 teaspoon Ground Cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon Ground Cloves
  • 1/4 teaspoon Ground Nutmeg
  • 1 pinch Salt
For the Topping
  • 1/2 cup Chopped Pecans Can substitute with walnuts
  • 2 cups Mini Marshmallows

Method
 

Directions
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Gather your ingredients and prep your baking dish.
  2. Peel and slice the sweet potatoes into thin medallions, then layer them in a pie dish.
  3. In a saucepan, combine the butter, brown sugar, water, cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg, and salt. Heat until the butter melts.
  4. Brush 3/4 of the melted sauce over the sweet potatoes and cover with aluminum foil. Bake for 45-50 minutes.
  5. After baking, drizzle reserved sauce over sweet potatoes and sprinkle with pecans and mini marshmallows.
  6. Switch to broil and broil for 1-2 minutes until mini marshmallows turn golden brown.
  7. Allow the dish to cool for 10-15 minutes before serving.
