Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 8 ounces egg noodles
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh ginger minced
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes optional
  • 1 cup green onions chopped
  • 1 cup bell peppers sliced
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Method

  1. Cook the egg noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat the vegetable oil over medium heat. Add the ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spatula, about 5-7 minutes. Drain excess fat if necessary.
  3. Add the minced garlic and ginger to the skillet, cooking for an additional 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  4. Stir in the soy sauce, brown sugar, rice vinegar, and red pepper flakes (if using). Mix well and let simmer for about 3-5 minutes.
  5. Add the cooked egg noodles, green onions, and bell peppers to the skillet. Toss everything together until well combined and heated through, about 2-3 minutes. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  6. Serve hot, garnished with additional green onions if desired.
