  • 1/2 cup Parmesan (grated) Nutritional yeast can substitute for a vegan option.
  • 2 tablespoons Butter Olive oil can be a healthier substitute.
For Garnish
  • 1 tablespoon Fresh parsley (optional) Omit if not available.

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. In a large skillet, melt 1 tablespoon of butter over medium heat, add chopped onion and sauté for 3-4 minutes until soft.
  2. Add ground beef, breaking it apart and cook for 5-7 minutes until browned. Drain any excess fat.
  3. Return skillet to medium heat, add minced garlic, and stir for 1 minute until fragrant.
  4. Add uncooked long-grain white rice, beef broth, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper to the skillet. Stir to coat rice.
  5. Bring to a gentle boil, reduce heat, cover, and simmer for 18-20 minutes until rice is tender.
  6. In a separate saucepan, melt 2 tablespoons of butter over low heat, stir in Parmesan, cheddar, and milk until smooth.
  7. Pour cheesy sauce into skillet with beef and rice mixture, stirring to combine and heat through.
  8. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired, serve warm, and enjoy.
