Cooking Instructions
- Cook the ziti pasta in salted boiling water until al dente, about 8–10 minutes. Drain and set aside.
- In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add ground meat and cook until browned, about 5–7 minutes. Drain excess fat, add garlic, and cook for an additional minute.
- Stir in marinara sauce, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Let simmer for 5 minutes.
- In a bowl, combine ricotta with half of the mozzarella and Parmesan until smooth.
- Preheat oven to 375°F. In a greased 9x13 dish, layer half of the ziti, half of meat sauce, and dollop cheese mixture. Repeat layers.
- Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes. Remove foil, add remaining mozzarella, and bake uncovered for another 15–20 minutes.

Let the baked ziti rest for 10 minutes before serving for easier slicing. For richer flavor, mix different cheeses.
