Method

  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the drained crushed pineapple and sugar.

  4. If using, fold in the chopped pecans.
  5. Pour the mixture into a greased 9x13-inch baking dish, spreading it evenly.

  7. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until the top is golden brown and the edges are bubbly.
  8. Allow to cool for at least 10 minutes before serving.
