Step-by-Step Instructions for Pumpkin Cinnamon Rolls
  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine lukewarm milk, sugar, and active dry yeast. Let sit for 5-10 minutes until frothy.
  2. Stir in melted butter, egg, and pumpkin puree. Gradually fold in flour, cinnamon, and salt.
  3. Knead the dough for 8-10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  4. Place the dough in a greased bowl and cover. Let it rise until doubled in size, about 1-2 hours.
  5. Mix softened butter, brown sugar, cinnamon, and cardamom for the filling.
  6. Roll the dough into a rectangle, spread filling, and roll into a log. Cut into 12 pieces.
  7. Arrange rolls in a greased baking dish and let rise again for 30-60 minutes.
  8. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake for 25-30 minutes.
  9. Prepare icing by mixing cream cheese, maple syrup, and brewed coffee.
  10. Drizzle icing over warm rolls after cooling for 10 minutes.
