Step-by-Step Instructions for Sausage Sandwich Boats
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with aluminum foil.
  2. Slice the Italian hoagie buns in half and spread butter inside. Sprinkle with garlic salt and toast in the oven for 5 minutes.
  3. In a skillet, cook ground Italian sausage over medium-high heat for 7-8 minutes until browned. Drain excess grease and mix in marinara sauce.
  4. Fill the toasted hoagie buns with the sausage mixture, top with sliced pepperoncini and fresh mozzarella.
