  • 8 tortillas Street Taco Size or Mini Corn/Flour Tortillas Use gluten-free tortillas for a gluten-free option.

  • Freshly Chopped Cilantro Can be omitted for those who dislike its taste.

Method
 

Instructions
  1. In a large bowl, whisk together vegetable oil, lime juice, soy sauce, minced garlic, chili powder, ground cumin, and dried oregano to prepare the marinade.
  2. Add flank or skirt steak to the marinade, ensuring it is thoroughly coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, ideally up to 12 hours.
  3. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat for about 3 minutes until hot.
  4. Remove half of the marinated steak with a slotted spoon and sear in the skillet for about 4 minutes until browned.
  5. Tent the cooked steak with foil to keep warm and repeat the cooking process with the remaining steak.
  6. Discard any leftover marinade that has been in contact with raw meat.
  7. Warm tortillas in the skillet for about 30 seconds on each side, then fill with cooked steak and top with cilantro, red onion, and lime juice.
  8. Serve warm, allowing everyone to customize their tacos with additional lime wedges or toppings.
