For the Base
  • 1 cup Salsa Choose red or green based on spice preference
  • 2 tablespoons Lime Juice Fresh preferred, bottled is okay

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Place the boneless skinless chicken breasts in the bottom of the crockpot, spread evenly.
  2. Sprinkle chili powder, cumin, paprika, garlic powder, and onion powder over the chicken. Rub seasonings into the chicken.
  3. Pour your choice of salsa over the seasoned chicken and squeeze fresh lime juice over the salsa.
  4. Carefully pour chicken broth around the chicken without washing away the seasoning.
  5. Cover the crockpot and cook on low for 4-6 hours or high for 3-4 hours.
  6. Once cooked, shred the chicken using two forks or a stand mixer.
  7. Fill warm tortillas with shredded chicken and add your favorite toppings.
