Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef 80/20 blend
  • 4 hamburger buns
  • 4 slices cheddar cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 4 slices cooked bacon crumbled
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • Lettuce tomato, and pickles for topping

Method

  1. In a small bowl, combine the mayonnaise, crumbled bacon, Dijon mustard, garlic powder, onion powder, and apple cider vinegar. Mix well and set aside to let the flavors meld.
  2. Preheat a griddle or large skillet over medium-high heat. Divide the ground beef into 4 equal portions (about 4 ounces each) and form them into loose balls.
  3. Once the griddle is hot, place the beef balls on it and immediately smash them down with a spatula to form thin patties. Season each patty with salt and pepper.
  4. Cook the patties for about 2-3 minutes until the edges are crispy. Flip the patties and place a slice of cheddar cheese on each one. Cook for another 1-2 minutes until the cheese is melted.
  5. While the burgers are cooking, toast the hamburger buns on the griddle until golden brown.
  6. Assemble the burgers by spreading a generous amount of baconnaise sauce on the bottom bun, adding the cheeseburger patty, and topping with lettuce, tomato, and pickles. Finish with the top bun.
  7. Serve immediately and enjoy!
