  • 1 cup Sour Cream
  • 1 cup Shredded Cheddar Cheese
  • 1/2 cup Honey or maple syrup/agave nectar
  • 1/4 cup Unsalted Butter (melted)
  • 1 cup Cornmeal
  • 1 tablespoon Baking Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Salt reduce if using salted butter
  • 1 teaspoon Black Pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder
  • 2 large Eggs (beaten)
  • 1/4 cup Chopped Chives or Parsley for garnish

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the fresh corn, creamed corn, sour cream, cheddar cheese, honey, and melted butter.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk cornmeal, baking powder, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder.
  4. Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet mixture, stirring gently.
  5. Fold in the beaten eggs.
  6. Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish and pour the mixture in.
  7. Bake for 35-40 minutes until golden brown.
