In a large pot, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the diced onion and bell pepper, sautéing for about 5 minutes until softened.
Stir in the minced garlic and cook for an additional minute.
Add the ground turkey to the pot, breaking it apart with a spoon. Cook until browned and no longer pink, about 6-8 minutes. Drain any excess fat if necessary.
Stir in the black beans, corn, diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, chicken broth, taco seasoning, cumin, salt, and pepper.
Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat and let it simmer for 20-25 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Taste and adjust seasoning if needed. If you prefer a thicker soup, let it simmer longer.
Serve hot, garnished with your choice of toppings.
