  • 2 cups Cheddar Cheese freshly shredded for best melting

  • 1 medium Onion can substitute with shallots
  • 2 stalks Celery can replace with bell peppers
  • 1 cup Carrots frozen mixed veggies can be used
  • 1 tsp Garlic Powder or fresh garlic for stronger flavor
  • 1 tsp Onion Powder can be omitted or replaced with leeks
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Black Pepper
Optional Topping
  • 1 cup Additional Cheese for extra cheesy finish

Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Brown the ground beef in a skillet over medium heat for 5–7 minutes until no longer pink, then drain excess fat.
  2. Sauté chopped onions, carrots, and celery with the beef for another 5–7 minutes until softened.
  3. Peel and dice the potatoes into small chunks, keeping in cold water to prevent browning.
  4. In a mixing bowl, combine the beef mixture with potatoes, soup, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix thoroughly.
  5. Transfer mixture to a greased baking dish, cover with foil, and bake at 375°F for 45 minutes.
  6. Remove foil, sprinkle cheese on top, and bake uncovered for an additional 10–15 minutes until cheese is melted.
  7. Let the casserole rest for 5–10 minutes before serving.
