Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. In a medium bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, shredded cheddar cheese, cooled and diced bacon, mayonnaise, sour cream, and optional hot sauce. Mix gently until fully incorporated and smooth.
  2. Preheat your oven to 190°C (375°F). Carefully slice each bagel in half horizontally but don’t cut all the way through. Gently push the center down to create enough space for the filling.
  3. Evenly distribute the creamy filling among the bagel halves, smoothing it out. Ensure each bagel is generously filled.
  4. Place the filled bagels on a baking tray lined with parchment paper and bake for about 12-15 minutes, until golden brown and bubbling.
  5. Remove the bagels from the oven and let them cool slightly. Garnish with reserved crispy bacon bits and freshly chopped chives. Serve warm.
