Step-by-Step Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x5 inch loaf pan.
- Peel and mash 3 very ripe bananas until smooth. Add in 2 room temperature eggs, 1 cup of granulated sugar, 1/3 cup of melted unsalted butter, 1/4 cup of milk, and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract. Stir until well combined and creamy.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together 1 1/2 cups of all-purpose flour, 1 teaspoon of baking soda, and 1/2 teaspoon of salt.
- Gradually pour the dry mixture into the bowl with the wet ingredients, folding gently without overmixing.
- Fold in 1/2 cup of chopped walnuts until evenly distributed throughout the batter.
- Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top. Bake for 50-60 minutes until a skewer inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Once baked, let the banana nut bread cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.
